Christopher Bryan Callen, né le 26 janvier 1971 à New York, est un acteur américain.
Bryan a des origines ethniques variées : il est 1/2 Cherokee, 1/4 italien et 1/4 irlandais. Il a vécu un peu partout dans le monde jusqu'à ses 14 ans car son père était un banquier : aux Phillippines, en Inde, au Pakistan, au Liban, en Grèce et en Arabie Saoudite.
Il est sorti diplômé de l'école secondaire du Bronx, Morris High School, en 1989. Il débute sa carrière en 1995, dans la série MADtv, avant de se faire remarquer dans Oz en 1998. Il enchaine ensuite les rôles au cinéma, avant de revenir à la télévision en 2001 dans Inside Schwartz. En 2004, il devient pour trois ans George Vickery Petrowski dans 7 à la maison. En parallèle, en 2005, il joue Eddie Falcone dans Fat Actress.
C'est l'année suivante qu'il décroche le rôle secondaire de Bilson dans How I met your mother : il va faire au total six apparitions, jusqu'en 2009. En parallèle, il développe sa carrière au cinéma, avant en 2009 de commencer à jouer dans la série Bank of Hollywood. En 2011, il apparaît dans Very bad trip, et joue le capitaine Dashell dans la série Death Valley. Il devient aussi pour deux ans US Marshalls.
En 2014, il devient Garo Kassabian dans la série Kingdom : il l'incarne jusqu'en 2017, jouant en parallèle de nombreux films comme 10 Rules for Sleeping Around, Mise à l'épreuve et My man is a loser. Il apparaît en 2016 dans les séries Wander et 2 Broke Girls. Depuis 2014, il joue aussi Mr Mellor dans Les Goldberg, avant de devenir son propre héros dans la série dérivée Schooled.
Il est marié depuis 2008.
Callen pratique le karaté, la boxe, la lutte et l'escrime. Il a d'ailleurs une ceinture noire en karaté. Il aime aussi l'écriture et l'art.
Il est ambidextre.
