Lauren Tom, née le 4 août 1961 à Chicago, Illinois, est une actrice américaine.
Ses parents sont Tom Chan et Jr., Nancy Dare. Elle a des origines chinoises.
Elle a commencé son métier d'actrice à 17 ans, elle était dans une troupe. Lauren est une actrice aux multiples facettes, elle est connue pour ses rôles dans des séries cultes comme Friends ou Men in Trees, mais elle a également participé à des pièces de Broadway, et prête très souvent sa voix à des personnages de dessins animés.
Sans compter qu'elle a déjà fait son propre one woman show "25 Psychics" qui a même été primé deux fois, et a déjà plusieurs fois publié ses essais.
Elle s'est mariée avec Curt Kaplan en 1999. Ils ont 2 fils ensemble, Oliver et Leo.
