You are very young and you have already an extensive filmography. Can you tell us what attracted you to an acting career and how you got started?

My older sisters started doing background work and when they outgrew it my mom continued on with me and my sister Ceymone. When Ceymone stopped, I was the only one left who actually enjoyed it.

How do you organize yourself to continue your education? Do you have a favorite subject?

While on set we have to do three hours of school and our TIU studio teacher is amazing. She really makes sure that she communicates with my teachers and my parents. Having a great support system helps to make it all easy. I actually ended the last grading quarter with straight A’s. My favorite subject is history.

Annie Pearson is your first lead role in a series. Do you remember your audition for This Is Us?

Did you go there relaxed or stressed? Yes. We didn’t really know who I was auditioning for, so I had to remember the lines for both Annie and Tess. I ended up doing Annie of course. I was seven at the time, so it was just a regular audition for me, I didn’t feel nervous or anything.

This Is Us is a family series. Do you find common points with yours?

Does Annie have the same character as you? I have a big family. My mom and aunt are twins. Me and Annie are similar because I think I also tend to have an opinion and speak what’s on my mind like she does.

Your character, Annie, was ranked 6th best character in This Is Us by the ScreenRant site and you won several awards for your interpretation. Well done ! Doesn't that make you a little dizzy?

Well that is amazing to know! I feel very honored and grateful to be a part of such an amazing show that touches everyone’s heart.

This Is Us plays with timeline. How do you imagine Annie as an adult?

I hope Annie as an adult still sparks what is on her mind, stands up for what she believes in, and loves her family.

You shot the movie Shazam! alongside Zachary Levi. What memories do you keep? Do you have an anecdote to tell us?

Filming was always so much fun. It was so cold in Toronto, but I think that we had so much fun when we filmed that it didn’t matter. Mr. Zachary would break out his boombox and we’d all dance and have fun. We all even did an escape room and had many dinners together.

Is filming for the cinema different from filming for a television series?

In my opinion no. They both film the same way.

Almost every child dreams of being a superhero. Which superwomen do you admire and would you like to play on the screen one day?

I admire Wonder Woman; I just love Gal Gadot’s character. I also love my character Darla Dudley, so hopefully I get to play her as she gets older.

You played in the HBO series, Watchmen, in which you played the youth version of Regina King's character, Angela. Did you prepare yourself in a particular way for this role? Did she give you advice?

No, I did not prepare too much for the role. My mom goes over the scenes with me and we talk about each scene. No, Ms. Regina didn’t give me any advice. I have not had the opportunity to meet her. Hopefully one day!

Do you have any new projects you would be allowed to tell us about?

No. No new projects. While filming TIU, I do not take on anything because I still attend a traditional school setting, and I don’t want to miss too much school. When we go on summer hiatus, I may do some auditions.
